I am an expert in language, college writing, and educational technology with research interests in the use of technology-enhanced writing instruction, the application of artificial intelligence to the field of college composition and rhetoric in a number of ways, including data analytics and text mining, adaptive teaching technology, and game-based learning in higher education.

 PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING & LEARNING

Although learning unquestionably entails personal growth, there is a fundamentally social aspect to learning, involving the transfer of ideas, emotions, experiences and memories to others within our various personal, professional, and socio-cultural networks, using what might well have been one of the earliest forms of educational technology used by humans: Language.
